This Shipping & Delivery Policy forms part of Bookzstore's Terms and Conditions and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund & Return Policy, Privacy Policy, and other policies available on the Platform.
By placing an order on Bookzstore, you agree to the terms outlined in this Shipping & Delivery Policy.
1. Overview
At Bookzstore, we strive to provide a smooth, reliable, and affordable delivery experience for our customers.
Bookzstore operates as an online marketplace that connects customers with independent sellers, vendors, publishers, distributors, and booksellers across India. Products listed on the Platform may be fulfilled, packed, and shipped by different vendors and fulfillment partners.
While we make every effort to ensure timely delivery, shipping timelines and delivery performance may depend on factors beyond our direct control.
2. Order Processing
Orders are generally processed after successful order confirmation and payment verification.
Once your order is received, you may receive:
- An order confirmation email.
- Order status updates via email.
- Shipment notifications via email.
- Delivery-related communications via email.
Orders may be processed on business days only. Processing times may vary during promotional campaigns, sales periods, public holidays, or due to unforeseen operational circumstances.
3. Free Shipping Campaign
As part of a limited-time promotional campaign, Bookzstore is currently offering Free Shipping on eligible orders.
This promotional offer may be modified, extended, suspended, or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
Any conditions, exclusions, minimum order requirements, or campaign limitations will be displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase.
4. Shipping Charges
During the Free Shipping Campaign, eligible orders may qualify for free delivery as displayed at checkout.
For orders that do not qualify for free shipping, applicable shipping charges, if any, will be clearly displayed before order confirmation.
Cash on Delivery (COD)
Where Cash on Delivery (COD) is available, additional COD handling charges may apply.
Any applicable COD charges will be displayed during checkout before you place your order.
Bookzstore reserves the right to modify shipping fees, COD charges, delivery charges, and promotional shipping offers at any time without prior notice.
5. Delivery Estimates
We aim to deliver orders as quickly as possible. However, delivery timelines may vary depending on:
- Delivery location
- Seller fulfillment time
- Courier partner performance
- Product availability
- Weather conditions
- Public holidays
- Operational disruptions
- Remote or non-serviceable areas
- Other unforeseen circumstances
All delivery dates, timelines, and estimates displayed on the Platform are provided in good faith and are indicative only.
Bookzstore does not guarantee delivery within any specific timeframe unless expressly stated otherwise.
While reasonable efforts are made to ensure timely delivery, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control.
6. Seller Fulfillment and Third-Party Logistics
Bookzstore is a marketplace platform that works with multiple independent sellers, vendors, publishers, distributors, and fulfillment partners located across India.
Certain orders may be fulfilled and shipped directly by third-party sellers or their chosen logistics partners. The actual packing, dispatch, and shipment of products may therefore be carried out by such third parties.
While Bookzstore facilitates the transaction and customer experience, Bookzstore is not a courier company and does not directly control third-party logistics providers.
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Bookzstore shall not be responsible for delays, service interruptions, shipment disruptions, or delivery issues arising solely from the actions or omissions of third-party fulfillment or logistics partners.
7. Multiple Shipments for a Single Order
As Bookzstore sources books from multiple vendors and warehouses across India, books included in the same order may not always be shipped together.
If you purchase more than one book, your order may be split into multiple shipments depending on:
- Vendor availability
- Warehouse location
- Inventory availability
- Seller fulfillment arrangements
- Logistics optimization
As a result, books from the same order may arrive separately and on different dates.
No additional shipping charges will be applied solely because an order is shipped in multiple packages unless otherwise disclosed at checkout.
8. Delivery OTP and Communication
For security and verification purposes, certain deliveries may require an OTP (One-Time Password) at the time of delivery.
Important Notice
The delivery OTP, where applicable, will be shared only through the email address registered with your Bookzstore account.
Bookzstore uses email as its primary and official mode of communication for:
- Delivery OTPs
- Order confirmations
- Shipment updates
- Delivery notifications
- Important account communications
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing a valid email address during checkout.
- Monitoring their email inbox, spam folder, and promotions folder.
- Ensuring access to the registered email account at the time of delivery.
Bookzstore shall not be responsible for failed deliveries, delays, or inconveniences arising from the customer's inability to access their registered email account.
9. Tracking Information
Where tracking services are available, customers may receive shipment tracking details after dispatch.
Tracking information is generally provided by third-party logistics providers and may occasionally be delayed or temporarily unavailable.
Bookzstore is not responsible for inaccuracies or delays in tracking updates provided by courier partners.
10. Delivery Address and Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information, including:
- Full name
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Delivery address
- PIN code
- Landmark details, where applicable
Bookzstore shall not be responsible for delays, failed deliveries, additional charges, or losses resulting from incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate information provided by the customer.
If an order is returned due to incorrect address details, unreachable customer, repeated failed delivery attempts, failure to provide delivery OTP, or refusal to accept delivery, additional shipping, handling, or re-delivery charges may apply.
11. Delivery Delays
Although we strive to ensure smooth deliveries, delays may occur due to factors including but not limited to:
- Extreme weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Public holidays
- Government restrictions
- Transport disruptions
- Strikes or labor shortages
- Courier service issues
- Technical failures
- Inventory shortages
- Vendor-related delays
In the event of a significant delay, we will attempt to keep customers informed through available communication channels.
12. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Products
If you receive a damaged product, an incorrect product, an incomplete shipment, or a missing item, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with an unboxing video.
To assist with investigation and resolution, customers may be required to provide order details, photographs of the package, photographs of the product received, an unboxing video, and any additional information reasonably requested.
Upon review, Bookzstore may provide a replacement, refund, return authorization, or another appropriate resolution in accordance with the Refund & Return Policy.
13. International Shipping
Currently, Bookzstore delivers only within India.
International shipping is not available at this time.
Bookzstore reserves the right to introduce, modify, restrict, or discontinue international shipping services in the future without prior notice.
14. Failed Deliveries and Returned Shipments
Orders returned to the seller or fulfillment center due to failed delivery attempts, incorrect addresses, refusal to accept delivery, customer unavailability, or failure to provide delivery OTP may be subject to re-shipping charges, order cancellation, or refund deductions for shipping costs.
Such cases shall be handled in accordance with the Refund & Return Policy.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, Bookzstore shall not be liable for delivery delays caused by third-party logistics providers, delays arising from vendor fulfillment issues, losses arising from incorrect customer information, delivery failures caused by inaccessible email accounts, service interruptions beyond reasonable control, or consequential/indirect losses arising from shipping or delivery issues.
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
16. Changes to This Policy
Bookzstore reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or replace this Shipping & Delivery Policy at any time.
Any changes will become effective immediately upon publication on the Platform unless otherwise stated.
Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
